1982 we were master weaving guests at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane

Here we met Thancoupie and were invited to support her family to run her Bawtjethi Holiday program in the Western Cape .

We also met Maori educationalist who spoke of the 25 year journey to educate their youth and then through teacher training to where they re wrote the NZ Education Curriculum to included Maori Culture in to the mainstream curriculum

Our Australian Indigenous Pacific Cultural Heritage appears to be too diverse to activate mainstream educational curriculum

This does not diminish the power and validity this kinesthetic heritage has on formative learning

By associating it with a "Hands On Maths" structure  we have appropriate affiliations with rational curriculum outcomes
