Rhonda Duffin lives at Mona Mona with her husband Andy Duffin and their children . Mona Mona is a small Djabugay homeland cultural centre 30k from Kuranda. The Duffin's and the Brim families are innovating a family based Cultural Education Centre with a project
KOCA Keeping Our Culture Alive
Rhonda went to Curtin University in WA where she majored in a Community Development Degree. As a Djabugay elder and competent managerial woman she is assisting Rhonda Brim as the manager of the KOCA Cultural Centre business
Rhonda developed the Djabugay language program with Rhonda Brim & Michael Quinn. Both Rhonda's taught Djabugay language in schools for 6 years
Rhonda is responsible for bringing home to Djabugay their historic artifacts & baskets from: Canberra Brisbane Melbourne & Sydney Museums. At present these museum pieces are in the Tjapukai theme park's museum in Cairns
Rhonda has been one of the students learning the 4 techniques of basket skills unique to wet tropics. Her baskets have been exhibited in the Kick Arts Gallery @ the Wet Tropics Blak Roots Exhibition Cairns 28th November 08
